The New Zealand Parliament today passed the landmark India–New Zealand Comprehensive Economic Cooperation and Free Trade Agreement following unanimous cross-party committee approval. The historic treaty phases out tariff barriers on more than 92 percent of bilateral merchandise lines and establishes streamlined regulatory reciprocity for professional services, agritech, and specialized engineering.
