Cookies and similar storage
Cookies are small values stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and software development kits. NewsCrestle uses them only for stated purposes and aims to avoid unnecessary identifiers.
Essential storage
Essential storage supports sessions, security, form protection, authentication, language selection, load management, and recording the consent choice. These functions are necessary to provide a requested service and cannot always be disabled through the banner.
Optional categories
Analytics can measure visits and performance; advertising can select and measure ads; personalization can remember optional preferences. Where law requires consent, these categories remain inactive until selected. The production configuration must match this policy before optional vendors are enabled.
Embedded services
A market widget, video, social sign-in, map, or other embedded provider may receive technical information when loaded. Provider branding and links are retained. Some exchange information may be real-time or delayed. Readers can review the third party's own privacy and cookie terms.
Managing choices
Use the consent banner to allow optional categories or continue with essential storage only. Browser settings can delete or block cookies, though login and saved preferences may stop working. A new consent version can reopen the banner when purposes materially change.
Retention, updates, and contact
Storage duration depends on purpose and vendor configuration. Session values expire with the session; preference and consent records persist long enough to respect the choice; optional vendor periods must be documented before activation.
