More than one million people gathered along both banks of the Han River on Saturday evening to witness the 2024 Seoul International Fireworks Festival, one of Asia's premier cultural spectacles, transforming the capital's skyline into a breathtaking canvas of light and color.
Organized jointly by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Hanwha Group under the theme 'Light Up Your Dream', the annual autumn festival drew families, tourists, and photography enthusiasts who blanketed Yeouido Hangang Park and nearby Ichon Park from early morning.
World-Class Pyrotechnic Shows Light Up the Autumn Night Sky
The extravaganza commenced with a dynamic show by the United States team, followed by an intricate and delicate artistic performance by Japan's pyrotechnic masters, before South Korea's Hanwha concluded the night with a grand multi-media fireworks finale synchronized to emotive orchestral music.
High-tech pyro-drones and laser projections complemented the traditional fireworks, firing tens of thousands of shells launched from barges anchored in the middle of the Han River between Mapo Bridge and Wonhyo Bridge.
